The Team Trophy

History

The Team Trophy is open to the all Clubs who are members of the Chiltern Junior Golf League and takes place at the end of the season.

Format: Each Club enters a team of 3 players. The competition is an 18-hole stableford competition.

All players must have a WHS Handicap Index. The maximum Handicap Index allowed is 28.0, any players with a Handicap Index of 28.1 or higher will play off a Handicap Index of 28.0.

The host club to be responsible for arranging the Tees of the Day. In general, boys shall play from the Men’s Medal Tee, and girls from the Ladies’ Medal Tee however, with agreement, younger boys and/or girls may play from forward tees provided these have a valid Course Rating and Slope Rating for their gender.

Playing Handicap is 95% of Course Handicap, where Course Handicap is calculated using each player’s Handicap Index and tees used by the player with any adjustment for mixed gender/tees according to WHS.

The aggregate of all 3 scores for each team is used to determine the winner. In the event of a tie, count-back procedures will be used for the best aggregate on the back 9 holes, then back 6 holes and back 3 holes.

Competition Date and Start Time: The competition date and start time is determined by the host club.

From 2024 the date will be held in the Easter holidays.

Players: Each Club is requested to advise the Chiltern Junior Golf League Organisers the names and handicaps of their players, no later than 1 week before the date of the event. This enables the Organisers to prepare running order and scorecards.

Catering: A meal is provided to all players and Junior Organisers.

Match Fees: The charge for the meal for players and Junior Organisers is paid by the Chiltern Junior Golf League.

Prizes: The winning team is awarded The Team Trophy.
